We are excited that BML Technology Founder and Managing Director, Marc Saab, recently (February 9, 2023) had the pleasure of being one of the judges in the Dobson Cup Health Sciences Enterprise Track Semi Finals competition. A big thank you to Kika (Karolina) Armata, Zehra Khoja , and Marianne Khalil for a super professional and well run day, and to fellow judges Philippe M. and Rafik Ikram, MBA, DESS, for the rich feedback and discussion.
Judges play an important role in this competition because they also ask penetrating questions of the teams and provide feedback and insight into their Value Creation Models, Business Models, Strategy, Technology and other elements of their ideas that can help teams improve their projects.
All the participating teams had great ideas and projects and reflected the entrepreneurial values and innovative spirit that the Centre is seeking to encourage. We’re now looking forward to the Finals that will take place at the end of March 2023.
Creating an environment where startup founders can obtain direct feedback and guidance from experienced industry professionals in an atmosphere of progress and collaboration is an indispensable service being facilitated by the Dobson Centre. As such they represent a key asset to the Montreal Startup Ecosystem, and to the economy overall if we are to judge by the high levels of economic activity they are helping to generate.
BML Technology is an active contributor to the Montreal digital health and medical technology startup ecosystem. Our Founder and Managing Director, Marc Saab, regularly mentors startup companies at most of Montreal’s incubators and accelerators focusing primarily on educating these young firms on how they can overcome the many challenges faced by startups including: Research and development, clinical validation, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, clinical engineering, fund raising, Go-to-Market strategy and much more.
