The Centech Montreal technology startup incubator and accelerator program has become one of the most active and successful programs of its type in the Montreal technology startup ecosystem and beyond. A non-profit organization, Centech supports high-tech companies and projects with high growth potential, from conceptualization to commercialization, thanks to a bold, collaborative and passionate ecosystem.
Fall 2022 has seen a record 48 companies join the Acceleration Program seeking the opportunity to go faster and further in their deeptech, medtech and edtech projects. They are testament to the dynamism, energy and innovation existing in the Montreal startup ecosystem. Of these companies 15 are in the Medical Technology field.

Our Founder and Managing Director, Marc Saab, is passionate about helping medical technology startups get their digital health solutions to market and regularly lectures on the ‘Critical Considerations and Best Practices in Regulatory Affairs’.
It is in this capacity that in conjunction with the Centech team leaders and sector experts Marc spoke to the Fall 2022 Medtech Cohort companies on the important issues they must consider as they navigate the path towards certification, as well as providing feedback on their respective projects.
For medtech startups the runway is short and the cash burn is high. Even with great ideas, funding and technological skills, most digital health startups find themselves in over their heads when eventually faced with the safety and efficacy requirements of a regulated industry. Getting it right from the start is critically important to their eventual success, or lack thereof.
