Your Apple Watch could soon tell you if you’ve got coronavirus

We’ve been talking a lot over the past few months about symptoms tracking as a way to reduce the lag that plagues contact tracing.

If it works, it would be a critical tool in social distancing and social isolation strategies used by different levels of government.

The important thing is to understand how it can work and where the challenges are. There is still a lot of work to do to understand what COVID looks like physiologically, but we’re getting closer. Key aspects: high data quality, the right metrics and real clinical inputs.
